This is the incredible story of the 24H STEREO MARATHON OF NOVEMBER 22, 2025
INTRODUCTION
“The weekend was incredible!!! For me, it felt like a gathering of beings from all corners of the galaxy to experience a magical moment! And the music!! – like a buffet of divine flavors prepared by the greatest chefs and offered so generously!!!”

EXACTLY.
This 24-hour marathon was not “just a big party.”
It was a portal.
A tipping point where a venue, a crowd and a music journey allowed something greater than themselves to appear: the soul of the world.
This text is a reflection on what we experienced together — and on what you felt — an attempt to put into words what usually remains unspoken : the demonstration of collective consciousness, the naming of the egregore, the exploration of inner alignment… and the emergence of a new concept to crystallize this manifestation in our everyday language: S.O.U.L – Spirit Of Underground Living,
But before we go there, let’s start with the most important part…
CHAPTER 1 – THE NIGHT ITSELF
THE TEMPLE, THE NIGHT, ITS CRAFTSMEN
MUSIC: THE PERFECT SETTING
You say it yourselves: Stereo is not a club.
It’s a temple, whose devotees cherish its motto: (((There is no place like Home))).
It’s a sanctuary, a real safe space, a chapel of sound, a place where we feel the most beautiful, the best version of ourselves. You don’t “show” this, you don’t post it, you can’t fake it. You feel it. You LIVE it. Deep in your gut.
A perfect Stereo night is the millimetric alignment of visual, sonic and atmospheric elements, unfolding like a theatre piece as all your friends appear, and as all your adventures take place across those hours of the night, year after year after year. What a privilege we have.
For this November 23, 2025 event, EVERY ingredient was there to reach the bar of excellence – and even push it higher, to a place that didn’t exist yet. We didn’t know the happiness index could still go up this far.
Diving into that space is like stepping into a perfectly cut jewel box, unique in the world – of course thanks to its technical features, but above all thanks to the closeness between DJs and dancers, and the intimacy and deep familiarity between the dancers themselves… who actually LOVE each other.
For this marathon, each DJ was at the very top of his craft: mature, generous, perfectly aligned with the spirit of the night, fully devoted to building an infinite story, across a whole day – from one moon to the next, passing through midday.
Keeping a ship in full interstellar mode for that many hours, with such coherence, demands tremendous musical and technical mastery from each of them. Together, our three pilots – Hernan Cattaneo, Patrice Bäumel and Kora – created a sound texture that was powerful yet airy, never too loud, always in perfect organic balance. It allowed the body to surrender to the floor while the mind turned toward the astral.
And YOU, my friends, the Stereo dancers, you were stunning.
You savoured every minute, every second of that marathon, just like I did, and I am CONVINCED it could have gone on another 12 hours and you still would’ve been there. Your energy, my dear Stereo loves, was extraordinary.
I’m also CONVINCED the entire Stereo family will join me in sending a MASSIVE thank you to Maestro Cattaneo, who so generously uses his prestige and reputation to uplift other talents around the planet. This man carries in him a deep kindness and an immense capacity to stay the course, faithful to his sound, consistent, always at the top of his art – for decades.
I add a HUGE thank you to Patrice Bäumel, with a very big WOW.
What a charismatic human he is.
A vibe straight from the heavens, a smile, a deep connection to his dancers, eyes scanning the crowd, large and elegant gestures from those long arms (he’s like seven feet tall, this guy!), blessing the room – it was so inspiring.
His music is simply fascinating, with a depth that you can’t really describe, only FEEL. He was stirring the soup of consciousness, making every spirit in the room dance like an orchestra conductor with his movements. It was majestic. The crowd responded like one single friend waving back at him, and he received it like a friend, with love.
And what infinite joy, what a PRIVILEGE, to hear alongside them the magnificent and incredibly talented prodigy Kora, who enriched this whole musical feast with his uniquely calm and radiant presence, bringing music from another world.
He showed his extreme ability to adapt and his immense versatility by fully embracing this timeless voyage with both power and finesse. He took us to every shore and gently dropped us into “almost silence” – organic pockets of space with just a few sounds of nature – fully assuming TIME itself, before sending us back into the wide open.
What a sense of breath and rhythmic sequencing. Only Kora has that courage, that fully assumed sensitivity – it’s remarkable and worth saying out loud. It was unforgettable, and let’s not forget that final moment where he managed to slowly land every dancer and bring everyone back with incredible technical virtuosity: from full tempo down to a complete stop, in barely two minutes, via a breakbeat reggae sequence. A total masterclass.
And that finale… WHAT AN IN-CRE-DI-BLE ENDING. HISTORIC. One of the most beautiful I have ever witnessed, EVER. You were all so deeply CONNECTED. That emotional wave of gratitude will remain in our memories forever.
I thank these three spiritual masters of ceremonies of global calibre in my own name and on behalf of all those who won’t have the chance to say it but feel exactly the same.
Gentlemen, hats off.
LIGHT: LET THE DIAMOND SHINE
Of course, music on its own is already a powerful physiological experience – those waves crossing our entire bodies are extraordinary and, I’m convinced, act as a kind of “radiotherapy” healing our Body & Mind.
But the FULL STEREO EXPERIENCE would NEVER, ever hit that deeply without the light.
I want to clearly highlight here the extraordinary work of Stereo’s two lighting masters: Luc L’Heureux and Nikos.
For this marathon, I only arrived around 11 AM, so I didn’t really get to witness the work of senior lighting designer Luc L’Heureux, but I absolutely want to express my immense gratitude to Nikos, the “junior” lighting wizard of the day (noon to midnight), who demonstrated his exceptional mastery of this jewel in all its splendour. It was honestly impressive – for 12 HOURS, with barely a few breaks, he never let go.
A lot of people forget – or simply have no idea – that those lights, those effects, those phenomenal visual tableaus are not generated by robots. There are humans up there, interpreting every buildup, anticipating every drop, choosing colours, bursts, explosions, slowdowns, all while remaining perfectly in sync with the music.
Light accounts for at least 50% of the hypnotic effect and the uplift of the soul.
Have you noticed how, the more precisely light is synchronized with the music, the less dancers bump into each other, the better everyone manages their dance space?
Light becomes the living extension of sound.
When it’s ultra-synced, you almost don’t notice it anymore – that’s how much it contributes and multiplies the whole experience by 100, while also helping your “dynamic geo-positioning,” in perfect coordination with the dancers around you, who are also in motion.
Have you ever noticed?
If not, pay attention next time: see how much the light actually HELPS you anticipate others’ movements and your next step, because your brain is recording everything it sees, in sync with everything it hears.
To show you how far from trivial this is, imagine: the DJs have two or four decks, and no matter how many tracks are on their USB key, they can only play ONE by CDJ at a time.
We agree?
Sure, there are tons of effects and parameters, but still…
The lighting guy, on the other hand, has over 700 possible effects on a control board this wide, with dozens of simultaneous controls to turn on or off hundreds of lamps, lasers, follow spots, beams and strobes, of all colours…
AND ALL ON TIME.
He has to FOLLOW the music in its rises, falls, intensity… Yes, I know, he has some presets. But still. It’s insane.
I don’t think we had seen Stereo shine with all of its lights like that in quite some time. The combination of all possible effects was spectacular, and above all, the way it breathed perfectly in phase with the music was remarkable.
When needed: darkness.
When needed: clarity.
When needed: softness – flooded in diamonds, or giant plunges into deep blue and indigo at the peak of the beat, creating unique states of consciousness–unconsciousness that CARRY the spirit toward the sky.
On Sunday, I crossed paths with dozens of friends dancing upstairs just to WATCH the spectacle, flooding their brains with those unique frescoes, each one lasting only an instant, never to be repeated. Every time I went up, I saw at least one person simply standing there, admiring the show, with a huge smile and bright eyes staring at the floor below.
It was totally in-SANE.
There was, among other things, at one point, an absolutely mind-blowing strobe sequence, crossing red and blue at a phenomenal speed, exactly on the beat of the track, that literally ejected us outside of ourselves, propelling us into the Great Consciousness above us. Everyone was ecstatic, and what I’m describing here, I only saw through the tiny slit of my half-closed eyes, turned inward toward my own euphoria, surrounded by euphoria.
Whipped by sonic explosions, right in the middle of the dance floor, bathed in hypnotic-spectrum colours, surrounded by smiles and joy – every single sense was activated.
Nothing else in life produces that state.
That’s why I’m taking the time to thank you, Nikos, for your generosity, your constant investment of energy, and your visible love for the place.
Your final light sequence, Nikos, was absolutely electrifying. I heard dozens of people talking about THAT – about THAT moment – saying how incredible the light show was, in perfect harmony with the music, and I confirm: just wow.
You gave us a full-on performance, without holding back, and it was wonderful to witness the fact that the FIRST person Cattaneo asked the room to applaud, as soon as the music stopped at midnight, was you, up there in the shadows. Finally, you got to receive the gratitude of the room face-on. It was beautiful. You deserve it. Take ALL of it. 😉
THE CRAFTSMEN: THANK YOU, STEREO CREW
None of this would exist without a devoted, invested team who deserve their own shout-out, alongside the main artists of sound and light. So let’s name them:
- the security team
- the coat check team
- the bartenders
- the busboys and cleaners, and LUC, the incredible Light Engeneer
- Mike and Tommy, who make all of this possible
And before we move on, I also salute and congratulate YOU – the dancers, the crowd. You were MAGNIFICENT.
CHAPTER 2
ENTRANCES & EMERGENCES
So… what else is there to say about the night, Costa??
Well, that’s where, for me, the best part actually begins.
Because what follows is a powerful demonstration of YOUR intimate experience, from the heart of the night and the guts of the dance floor all the way to these words – every single character pulled out of my head, from the floor to your eyes – so that it can resonate in you forever, my friends.
Let’s say that up until now, we’ve had the equivalent of about eight pages. The next ten will lay out the fundamentals of the collective consciousness that defines us and unites us.
I HAD to put it into words, to pull it out of our heads so we could make it our own. I did my best.
We’re going to move from the KNOWN into the UNKNOWN – the basic principle of human understanding.
Here we go with Prof Costa !
COSMIC ALIGNMENT
Like many others who’ve been visiting Stereo for decades, over the years I’ve had the chance a few times to interact with Cattaneo. On this blessed day, a magic little moment appeared where I could simply greet him and thank him for the care he puts into the details.
It was important for me to let him know that at least ONE dancer in the room recognized his work from a deeply spiritual perspective: this musical architecture had made the emergence of collective consciousness almost tangible, visible everywhere in the space, through the extreme kindness people showed one another.
He acknowledged that it was indeed a very special and spiritual moment. So, as a nod to the natural alignment of everything – including numbers – I mentioned to him:
“We’re in the 21st century, at an event announced on the 22nd of November, taking place on the 23rd, for 24 hours, in the year 2025…”
Without missing a beat, he added, as if it was obvious:
“…to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Stereo!”
And he burst out laughing: “I get it, I get it hahaha!”
Wow.
I had noticed the providence of the numbers earlier in the night, but hadn’t fully followed it through.
It had to be the Maestro himself who completed the sequence with the real reason we were doing all this in the first place: Stereo’s anniversary, of course.
As if the calendar itself was confirming the cosmic alignment, the cycle of years wrapped itself up neatly, conjugated in all temporalities: 21 → 22 → 23 → 24 → 25 → 26.
I love it.
Thank you, Maestro. All right then. Delighted by this short moment, I bowed out and went back to dance.
DANCE: THE FOUNDATION OF COMMUNION
Did you notice how, on the dance floor that day, people were DANCERS?
The groove, the swing, the cadence – it flowed across the entire floor with synchrony and fluidity. It was a show in itself.
My wise and very experienced dance sister Julie summed it up in a single glance:
“Have you noticed there are no stomping heels tonight? No elbows flying, no bad behaviour. No one is grabbing anyone, but everyone is moving. Look at that – there’s space. Nobody’s stepping on anyone’s feet, and it takes 10 seconds to cross the whole floor.”
It was fascinating to watch this symbiosis.
Explosive dancing, movement, energy, smiles, eyes, familiar and beloved faces – and joy, joy, joy.
I told myself:
“Yep. THAT’S the definition… or rather, the MANIFESTATION of DANCING.”
A basic Wiki definition goes like this:
“Performing a sequence of steps and movements following musical rhythm or according to the rules of a dance.”
But what we were living that day went far beyond any definition.
It was a kind of grand divine choreography, unfolding with no rehearsal, no choreographer, in an apparent chaos that was in fact governed by an absolute order induced by collective consciousness – where each dancer follows unwritten, unspoken “rules” that keep everyone united, like a flock of birds or a school of fish.
Surprisingly, science doesn’t really have a dedicated term for this phenomenon beyond:
- Collective intelligence: the ability of a group of animals to collectively perform complex actions, such as coordinated movement or pack hunting.
- Gregarious behaviour: the coordinated, self-organized action of a large number of individuals with no central direction.
Watching this, a new word popped into my head to describe what I was seeing:
“PARA-KINETIC INTELLIGENCE”

ETYMOLOGY :
- Para : “beside,” “beyond.”
- Kinetic : related to movement and its dynamics.
Proposed definition
« “In a context of collective dance, para-kinetic intelligence is the ability of dancers to perceive and anticipate their immediate environment, in perfect synchrony with others, so they can coordinate their movements in a confined and chaotic space without ever harming another.”. »
Physiologically, it’s an extension of proprioception – that “sixth sense” that lets you know the position and movement of your body in space, even with your eyes closed. This sense, essential for balance, coordination and motor control, uses information from muscles, tendons and joints so the brain can constantly adjust posture.
In this Stereo-faunic environment, nothing is planned, nothing rehearsed, yet everything unfolds as if these strangers had always danced together.
So much fluidity, so much respect for each other’s space – all of it flows from this “higher intelligence,” this sensitivity to the presence of the other.
Makes sense, doesn’t it? Come on, admit it.
Whether applied to dancers, or to a school of fish or a murmuration of birds, the term para-kinetic fits.
So THANK YOU, my friend Julie, for sharing that little key, which opened up my word-box and gave birth to a new term, applicable to this very specific context of empatho-rhythmic dance (yeah, another one! Empath = sensitive, // rhythmic = rhythm. Put them together and you get: being sensitive to the other person’s rhythm – you know, when you’re on the same beat… lol).
All right, I’ll leave you with my Neologos… for now.
CHAPTER 3
FROM “ME” TO “WE”
What takes place when you’re fully immersed at the heart of the night, alone yet surrounded, not looking for anyone or anything in particular, dancing both with yourself and with others, in a safe environment that Stereo has always strived to maintain – is truly extraordinary.
What’s being created is anything but banal. This is not “clubbing,” not just another nighttime event. It’s an emotional, sensory, intellectual and spiritual experience of exceptional power.
Think about it.
Roughly a thousand people came and went over the 24 hours, with a stable core of about 400.
But at some point, you were no longer a thousand individuals.
You were a single vibration.
No more division, no more opposing colours, no more isolated identities.
There was only a “we” that went far beyond all of the “me’s.”
One LOVE. One SOUL.

REFLECTION: THE MIRROR BALL AND THE MULTIPLE SELF
In a moment where my heart was full of gratitude and flooded with happiness, I lifted my eyes to the ceiling to give thanks, and found myself – without seeking it – exactly in the centre, under the mirror ball.
And the vision hit me, simple yet symbolic:
This huge, imperial ball reflects, through its thousand mirrors, the thousand facets of each of us – all of which exist, but not all of which shine.
Each facet is a possible version of our being, an identity that everyday life keeps in the dark.
In the night, under the lights, in the music and the shared energy, it’s those facets – the freest, the most vibrant – that finally emerge.
On the dance floor, another version of each person appears:
not the one dictated by roles, obligations, contexts,
but the one made possible by perfect conditions.
Light + sound + crowd + absence of threat =
an open mind, connected to the higher network, to global consciousness.
That’s where the formula 1 + 1 = 3 suddenly makes sense:
collective intelligence replaces, complements and adds to individual intelligence.
SCIENCE OF COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS
Each person is unique. Each Stereo night is unique, with its own defining traits.
But there are shared patterns that everyone recognizes – like personality traits common to humanity.
There are rare, precious moments where an individualized human group, gathered in one place at one time, doesn’t just feel an emotion – it becomes conscious of feeling it together.
That’s what transforms a simple shared mood into a true common vibration.
You see it during reunions: someone says “You can really tell we missed each other,” and suddenly the joy is no longer diffuse – it becomes explicit, owned, amplified.
The energy shifts, as if the air itself vibrated differently.
The individuals are no longer side by side: they become a we.
Social sciences have been naming this phenomenon for over a century. For Émile Durkheim, it’s collective effervescence, that state where “individuals feel transported into a higher world, where they access a kind of exaltation¹.”
Phenomenologists like Alfred Schütz call it intersubjectivity: the very special moment when two consciousnesses recognize they are living the same thing².
Contemporary psychologists talk about conscious emotional contagion: the moment when an emotion circulates and we know it is circulating³.
When someone names the shared emotion, they trigger a known mechanism: feelings synchronize, intensify, and the group’s energy starts to resonate like a tuned instrument.
Author Randall Collins calls this emotional solidarity, which “generates chains of ritualized interactions that leave physical and memorable traces⁴.”
And it’s exactly in this movement that the soul of the world reveals itself: at the precise instant when an individual feeling becomes a shared consciousness, and that shared consciousness becomes a living, almost tangible energy.
It’s no longer just “I feel good,” but “We feel good – together – and we know we feel good.”
That moment has transformative power.And it’s one of the most direct gateways into the portal of the “Great Consciousness,” toward the Spirit of Underground Living…
WHEN THE GROUP BECOMES AWARE OF ITSELF
To name what you created together, there is a word: EGREGORE.
An egregore is the soul of a group, born from the aggregation of intentions, energies and desires of individuals united toward a defined purpose. In concrete terms, it’s a form of “collective consciousness” that develops its own personality and influences its members.
You can see it in the “Team Spirit” of hardcore sports fans, or in the beliefs and attitudes of a religious dogma.
It’s also described as:
“A force generated by a powerful spiritual current and later fed at regular intervals, following a rhythm in harmony with the Universal Resonance of the Cosmos.”
At Stereo, how does this show up?
First, through that deep feeling of safety and well-being you experience – that kindness, surrounded by people like you, who share the same reason for being there and follow the unspoken but well-understood CODES of the culture of the place.
Then, through all those perfect little coincidences:
- old friends or new faces appearing at exactly the right moment
- those “random” encounters in the bathroom, at coat check, at the edge of the floor
- those moments where you lose a friend and find them again three minutes or “an eternity” later, exactly when you needed to
- the sip of water someone offers you just as you barely start noticing your thirst
- the lost phone that somehow ends up safe and sound at the coat check
- the improbable reunions with people you hadn’t seen in ages, all showing up on the same night without planning it
And above all:
by the emergence of ideas, realizations, and inner releases that resolve themselves in your heart – or rise up in your mind – while your body is surrendered to the rhythm, without thinking, in trance within the collective consciousness of that moment…
… fully devoted to simply BEING the moment.
CHAPTER 4 :
IDENTITY IN MOTION (WHEN THE NIGHT REVEALS US TO OURSELVES)
WHY IT NEEDS TO BE SAID – AND SAID AGAIN
In all honesty, what I understood that night wasn’t just “the awareness of awareness.”
It was the urgency of reflecting it back to you. Of revealing it, sharing it.
So that you know:
- What you experienced was real.
- What you felt was true.
- What you created together was rare, but concrete.
It was not an accident.
It was not random.
It was not just a bunch of party-goers lining up on the same night.
It was the individual experience of a collective, spiritual and human intelligence – which science will one day fully name and describe. What you’re reading here are some of its first stepping stones in contemporary social history.
We are in a renaissance, and some of you may have felt it just like I did on that “21-22-23-24-25-26” day: we crossed a kind of crescendo point, a portal opened between the memories of the past – those still alive – and those yet to be built, revealed.
We’re entering an era where we start to understand that something very particular happens when human beings align around a shared desire:
- the desire to be together and FEEL presence
- the desire to grow, and OPEN to new encounters
- the desire to be real, and DROP the masks
- that deep NEED to gather and belong to a community we recognize ourselves in through its values
FROM THE HEART OF THE NIGHT TO THE BREATH OF LIFE
This is where the broader concept steps in: the Soul of the World.
The soul of the world organizes human consciousness on a larger plane – one that surpasses us.
You call it the Universe, intuition, the Higher Power, whatever you call it, you FEEL it’s there. There are too many « chance » occurrences, coincidences, and synchronicities to deny its existence in your lives, aren’t there?.
It creates conditions, through our experiences and how we respond to them.
It uses our nights, our encounters, our “coincidences” to make humans evolve and help them understand, hear, FEEL, imagine what it wants to transmit.
It travels across eras, repeats itself through eternity, renews itself through our modernity.
Our technologies, our knowledge, our freedoms allow something rare today:
the awareness of awareness itself.
For a long time, religions carried this soul – sometimes twisting it, sometimes hiding it behind dogmas.
As these landmarks crumble, humans lose faith, trust, vision.
Fear, lies and anxiety gain ground.
But beyond those illusions, there is always one place where truth remains:
A place stripped of wealth and status,
where two humans find themselves side by side,
in the music,
without speaking,
just dancing.
That moment, that shared breath, that mutual presence…
That is the essence.
For real dancers, those who dive in with all their soul – isn’t it a bit like praying?
Not with words, but with intentions – and that is the only language the Universe truly understands.
CHAPTER 5 :
GIVING THE SOUL OF THE WORLD A BODY
FINDING WORDS TO SPEAK ABOUT IT
This is how a more human, more concrete language appears – to name what you already live – through the concept I propose:
Le Spirit Of Underground Living – S.O.U.L..
This is the state you love so much at the heart of the party, when everything becomes perfect, and when you share this state with your friends, or strangers who are experiencing what you are experiencing:
- alignment
- presence
- synchronicity
- that feeling of being exactly in the right place, at the right time, with the right people
If we experience this here, others are living it elsewhere.
Because what happens at Stereo is not isolated.
It’s universal.
What you love when we reach those hypnotic states – those of the night, of the dance floor, of total letting go – is the spirit of the night.
On the floor, no one cares about your car brand, your job, your opinions, your problems. That can all come later.
Here and now, we are here to DANCE and FEEL this sincere exchange that does not lie.
No matter your background – whether you’re powerful, wealthy, modest, an immigrant, a citizen, straight, LGBTQ or rocking wild hair…
Only one truth really matters:
- surrendering the SELF into dance, for long stretches
- in sincere communion with your inner kingdom
- and the Great Consciousness that feels so good
Wherever you encounter that state, it is there. It animates and nourishes you when you go out dancing.
Yet during the week, you forget.
You remember what you did…
Less so how you felt.
The S.O.U.L concept comes to give a name and a logical structure to this experience.
A credible, coherent concept to describe what you already live, but which no one had named properly yet.
This is the truth S.O.U.L tries to reveal.
And this is only the beginning. Even as you read these lines, an underground code of ethics is being prepared – values of the night, principles of conduct – in the form of a “Ten Consents” charter…

INCARNATING THE MOVEMENT
The soul of the world has projects that require resources… but that part is « its concern ».
My mission, as a small human but with the abilities I have received:
- put things into words, crystallize concepts
- write, extract and make accessible to humans the “data blocks” poured into my consciousness
- launch a call to awareness anchored in human experiences
- gather the living forces who FEEL that something is happening, without yet knowing how to contribute
My realistic objective is to share – to the best of my human abilities, and with the help of everyone who feels called by something greater – the existence of this still-unconscious movement, intimate, lodged at the heart of each of us.
Most people don’t know how to name what they live, because it’s so deeply inner. Of course, we KNOW that others also live something similar… but actually UNDERSTANDING it is another step.
So the simple fact of KNOWING it exists – that there is now a language, a logic, words to reflect this incarnation back to oneself – will allow others to recognize themselves in it, to tie their own strength to it, to inscribe their path within it.
So, I’m calling in the « SOUL.DOTS »
- Soul : the soul.
- Dot : a dot.
Souldots are the “soul dots” forming the grand matrix.
It’s you, it’s him, it’s her, it’s them, it’s us.
It’s ONE.
Imagine…
Imagine the planet seen from afar: a vast, dark sphere, and all around it, scattered points of light. Some shine strongly, some pulse gently, some barely flicker.

the candle.
An object present in almost every culture, that lights up without making noise, that guides without forcing, that symbolizes inner light.
Like an embodied Souldot.
A small earthly light responding to the starlights.
You only need to follow the light to find your way back.
